As an entrepreneur, I’m slightly obsessed with how to continually increase my productivity. ”How do I get more done?” is the constant question I ask myself on a daily basis.
But lately, I have had to re-evaluate if this is the correct way to go about productivity.
Should I be focusing on increasing productivity?
Or should I be focusing on eliminating stuff I’m doing which hinders my productivity?
I recently had a week where I was struggling to focus. And that is because I was yet gain trying to accomplish 500 things in one day. Something many entrepreneurs also complain about (trying to do too much).
The most common issues entrepreneurs face is a lack of time. So this is what got me thinking about my productivity.
Instead of measuring my productivity by the number of hours I am sat at my desk (which is an old remnant from my corporate past which I am still trying to shake off), I now measure my productivity by tasks I complete.
And these tasks MUST matter to me. They must be substantial and critical to help my business succeed. These are tasks I MUST do rather than I think I SHOULD do.Continue Reading
