I was totally thrilled to be featured alongside my indie author role models on ‘Amazon Stories’. This interview was taken whilst at the London Book Fair 2016.
Amazon interviewed Rachel Abbot, Mel Sherratt and Mark Dawson as well as some up and coming self published authors (aka me!) and I was thrilled to be featured alongside such giants in the self publishing industry. You can watch the video here and below.

The indie author community is very generous in terms of the information they share in how they became successful.
What surprised me was that all the featured authors literally started out from the bottom rung but just wrote consistently and put in the hard work.
This gives me a lot of hope and motivation knowing that there is no ‘secret sauce’ recipe. It all comes back to the basics: showing up daily and putting in the hard work.
I am grateful for their generous knowledge share and to Amazon to have opened up such huge opportunities for authors to self publish and I am super excited for when my book launches.
Remember that success is very subjective and you need to determine what it means for you first. For some people success means being able to work from anywhere. For others, it is a clear monetary value that they need to earn from their books each year.
