With Christmas just literally around the corner here are some great presents and gifts you can give to the writer in your life. Or why not treat yourself?
I always think getting presents for writers is pretty easy because you can never go wrong with it. All writers are big readers so you can get them books, books, and more books!
Most writers also write (or at least try to write!), so you can get them notebooks or other relevant stationary.
Sometimes its just the little things that make all the difference. So check out my top gift ideas for the writer in your life.
Gift Idea #1: Every Writer Needs Notebooks to capture those great ideas!
Every writer I know can never have enough notebooks. I always carry a notebook with me when I am out and about.
I also keep one on my bedside table. This has proved particularly helpful especially when I am hit by inspiration late at night or in the early hours upon waking.
And if there is one thing I have learned, it is to capture all ideas, no matter how small or insignificant they may appear at first. You just never know where that idea may lead.
So how about capturing your great ideas in these lovely notebooks? I love a plain Moleskin notebook. It’s a little bit of luxury I can bring to my daily writing practise!
Gift Idea #2: Every writer I know needs some caffeine to get those words out!
In the cold months, I love to snuggle up to cup of hot spicy chai and read my favorite books under a warm blanket.
The warming scents of cinnamon and cardamon bring home the Christmassy feeling!
Gift Idea #3: The perfect tea ware for that perfect cuppa!
I personally love to drink my tea in one of these ‘Tea-For-One’ teaware. I love to watch the tea leafs colour the water a deep caramel brown.
Or how about this ceramic mug for those who keep disturbing you when you try to write!
That should be enough to scare them away 🙂
Gift Idea #4: There are never enough books for the writer in your life.
I can never have enough books and I think it’s safe to say that most writers are voracious readers.
For the newbie writer, how about you help them get their writing career off to a great start in 2017 with these brilliant books?
Or for the writer who loves to snoop around in book shops, this is a perfect book for those who like to wander around book shops.
My aim is to visit each of these bookstores over the next two years!
Gift Idea #5: Help your writer to plan for a successful 2017
A wonderful way to track your progress over the years!
Or how about a calendar to keep track of your upcoming writing projects?
